A member of NISOA since 1984.

Has officiated more than 10,000 matches at all levels of play,
including 12 high school state finals. The president of the Las
Vegas NISOA chapter since 1985, he also is a NSOA National
Assessor.

In 1985, Kennedy was an assistant referee for the NCAA Division
I men’s championship game, a battle between UCLA and American
University in Seattle, Wash., that extended into eight overtime
periods before the Bruins netted the contest’s only goal.

The following year he was the referee for the championship game
as Duke defeated Akron 1-0.

He also was the referee for the World Collegiate Final between
Sangamon State and Dublin University.

Kennedy received the NISOA Distinguished Service Award in 1996
and was host of the NISOA Annual Convention in 2000.

He was named the Southern Nevada High School Referee of the Year
four consecutive years beginning in 1997.
