NISOA lost yet another one of its giants with the passing of George Faragallah, CA on May 13, 2010.  George held many positions within NISOA including serving as Director of Assessment, Area Coordinator for Region X, National Clinician and National Referee.  George also served as an assessor at the NAIA Championships and the World International Collegiate Championships.  At the local level, George was Chairman of the NISOA Southwest Regional Board for four years.

As a result of his dedication and service, George was inducted into the NISOA portion of the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1997 and received NISOA’s highest award, the Raymond Bernabei Honor Award in 2004.

Dr. Faragallah was a mentor to many young referees and enjoyed working on the staff at the National Referee Clinics where he was able to share his insight into the game from both a referee at the top level and an assessor.  Many individuals benefited from the times they shared with him.
