The chair of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Soccer Rules committee and the Secretary Rules-Editor published a call for proposed rules changes. Please follow the directions in linked memo to submit your proposal. All proposals must be received by October 11, 2019 for consideration at the Annual Meeting in March 2020.

Eliminating Overtime & allowing the Referee to keep the official time on the field are 2 examples of rules needing more support in order to successfully pass through the process for implementation.

This is our voice with the NCAA
Lance, good idea but let’s go all the way and tell the NCAA to simply adopt the Laws of the Game, which is what I did in the survey. No needing to learn different sets of rules, etc. The coach of one college team told me that his players were wondering why official time is on the scoreboard unlike the other games his players compete in.
